Football Coaching at Liverpool FC Camps UK

Liverpool Football Club is recognised around the world as one of an elite group of clubs with a truly worldwide reputation.

Liverpool have a very special philosophy which is well known by the players, staff and fans. This philosophy of ‘The Liverpool Way’ allows campers to access a leading coaching programme and experience the same coaching sessions that are delivered at the Liverpool FC Academy, ensuring campers develop and reach their full potential.

Through innovative and challenging sessions that include individual and group drills, small-sided games and LFC Academy skills challenges, players will be taken through a curriculum that encompasses the pillars below that are central to the club’s coaching philosophy.

The Liverpool Way

  • Sessions that allow the players opportunity to practice specific techniques/skills and repetition of that technique/skill, e.g. dribbling, passing, turning, forward moves, receiving and shooting etc.

  • Sessions that allow specific decision-making opportunities and the ability to adapt and combat different pressures and systems of play with and without the ball.

  • Sessions to encourage players to interact with each other, problem solve, compete and work as a team.

  • Sessions encouraging players to carry out fundamental movements as well as more game related movements.

  • Preparation, brave with and without the ball, accepting pressure, freedom of expression and positive body language are all aspects considered in this area.

  • Players will delve into the tactical and strategic side of Liverpool's game. Using video footage, they will look at how the first team approach various opposition and achieve success

  • The coaches will provide players with a further insight into the life of a Liverpool player, covering the social and psychological attributes that contribute to a successful Liverpool team.

Coaches host classroom workshops throughout the camp looking at player and match analysis. These workshops are fun, reflective and interactive, giving players the chance to bring a better understanding to their on-field training.

The flagship coaching programme on our camps is delivered by an exceptional team of experienced Liverpool FC coaches. As well as being UEFA or FA qualified, all our coaches are assessed, selected, and accredited by the club, chosen for having the distinguished qualities required to coach young players ‘The Liverpool Way’. Our coaches can motivate and communicate effectively with players of all ages and cultures. Many of them have previously represented LFC all over the world, working on a diverse range of LFC programmes and projects.
